Teaching Our Young People about Money with Roma Dhameja
In this episode, Roma Dhameja joins Toria again to talk all about money.
Roma has taught Business and Economics over 10 years and has held Senior Leadership positions for 6 years. Having taught finance related subjects over a decade, and having come from a commercial environment she couldn’t shake the feeling that the curriculum failed to cover a lot of knowledge on finance and the workplace that would be essential for young people to navigate life after school. The many conversations she has had with students and the questions they have asked about money, work and the economy have inspired the activities in her book ‘What Young People Need to Know About Money’ which is available on Amazon https://tinyurl.com/yj6n84nz
The book can be used by young people directly, parents who wish to discuss money with their children or teachers. On order to make it accessible all answers are provided in the book so little prior knowledge about the topics is necessary.
Roma regularly speaks at schools to young people about Personal Finance the changing landscape of work and how students can best prepare themselves for it.
