Tiny Voice Talks Education
Change Makers, with Sonia Thompson
In this episode, Toria talks to Sonia Thompson who is the proud headteacher of St Matthew’s C.E. Teaching and Research School in Birmingham. One of ten children, she is incredibly proud of her heritage and learnt so much from her mother. As you will hear on the podcast, Sonia has many strings to her bow and is not one to let the grass grow under her feet. Sonia is a change-maker who ensures that children are not just knowledge rich but culturally rich too. She believes in the power of research and that educators have a duty to inform themselves - which is why she always has a pile of books beside her.
